Born in St. Louis’ Lafayette Square in the ’30s, Janet has lived in a series of old houses, and has had a lifetime of “unexplainable experiences.” Her Eastern European and Native American heritage provided her with a familiarity with spiritual practices and a sensitivity to the realm of the non-physical world.
A member of the Parapsychology Society at University of Chicago in the ’50s, she has participated in investigation of hauntings and psychic experiments.

Mr. Wayne Hensley — Lecturer/Historian
Mr. Wayne Hensley is in his seventh year as a Professional Ghost/History tour guide. He has been a public speaker for over two decades and is world famous for being on these TV Shows:

Wayne has worked with five different psychics and has been featured in newspapers and national magazines. He has done one independent film on ghosts and a film for the Illinois Department of Tourism.
His Toastmaster work has won him local and national awards. Mr. Hensley has operated the In-Zone Barber Shop at the most haunted building in Alton, the World Famous Historic & Haunted Mineral Springs Hotel, for 31 years.
Mr. Hensley will personally guide you through some of the most Haunted places in the Alton area. He really enjoys talking with a lot of his customers and gets a great deal of historic & paranormal information first hand.

Chrystal Beacon — Psychic Consultant
Chrystal Beacon, psychic consultant on the tours, has been interested in psychic phenomenon and card reading since her teen years. A “sensitive,” she feels presences and the type of energy in a presence or area.
She has been a card reader since the ’60s, and has been involved with psychic fairs and participated in investigations of paranormal activities.
She provides readings and acts as psychic consultant on the tours. If anyone feels cold spots or sees shadows, she can relate what she sees or feels. She has very positive energy and experience with the properties of crystals. Think of a question before she reads your cards.
